The only gathering of its kind today, the Leadership Conference provides a collegial, informative and friendly environment for networking, leadership development and discussion for elected and appointed officials and their counterparts from the corporate and non-profit worlds. Local and state elected and appointed officials mix with national political and policy leaders to exchange ideas and best practices for serving their constituents. "Literally we talk about, what has been going on in your city, what has been happening with you, do you need any help?" said Houston City Councilwoman Sue Lovell, who hosted the 2006 Leadership Conference in her home city.

This year attendees will have the opportunity to work on policy issues that affect communities large and small.
